Hij gilt, en rent dan voor zijn leven<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Het bloed gutst uit zijn bovenbeen, hij voelt geen pijn<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Hij rent en rent, als in een waas, hij rent, nog even<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Dan is hij plotseling door kreupelhout omgeven<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Hij kruipt er instinctief in weg en maakt zich klein<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp De mannen zijn naar hem op zoek in het terrein<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Maar na een tijdje wordt de jongen afgeschreven<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Die ligt te lijden in de late zonneschijn<P> <A name="p19">&nbsp&nbsp &nbsp 4 &nbsp Wanneer het schemert wordt de jongen weer actief<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Hij kruipt, vanwege zijn fatale ongerief<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Hij heeft de wond al met wat kruiden ingewreven<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Maar toch is, ondanks dat, de wondkoorts progressief<P> <A name="p20">&nbsp&nbsp &nbsp 6 &nbsp Hij sleept zich langzaam naar de oever van het meer<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Bij een lagune glijdt hij in het kalme water<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Dat werkt verkoelend voor zijn beenwond, dus hij gaat er<BR> &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp Languit in liggen.
